State of the art visual systems light up PDX terminal, spurring great expansion.

Playing a prominent role in this large-scale major terminal expansion project at Portland International Airport, we were involved in reviewing constructability, and providing, and installing the video walls in partnership with the manufacturer, Planar. We installed the most extensive DirectView LED video wall system from Planar to date at the new terminal. The PDX Planar Video Wall installation includes two massive, mirrored LED walls on the mezzanine level overlooking the new public space. Each of these walls measures approximately 23 feet tall by 128 feet wide, with an incredibly high resolution of 7,488 x 1,392 per wall. Additionally, we installed eight independent "continuous LED ribbon" walls running above the new ticket counters. These ribbon walls are comprised of eight Planar DirectLight Pro 1.8mm LED walls, each measuring 3 feet 4 inches tall by an expansive 83 feet 4 inches wide, with a total resolution of 13,440 x 540 per wall. This high-visibility project represents our largest and most complex DirectView LED installation ever undertaken. It is also Planar's largest indoor DirectView installation in North America.
