Anderson Hall Modernization: 4‑Story MEPF Redesign for the UW's Forestry Department
The University of Washington’s Anderson Hall renovation demonstrates a thoughtful balance between modern performance and historic preservation. Working within a highly constrained footprint, our team utilized advanced 3D laser scanning and BIM MEPF coordination with clash detection to efficiently integrate new building systems, including the addition of an ADA‑compliant elevator. This four-story remodel improves functionality while preserving the building’s original 1925 character. Within the auditorium, modern lighting systems were seamlessly incorporated to support contemporary performance needs while maintaining the integrity of the Gothic architectural design. The result is a carefully executed renovation that enhances usability, meets current standards, and respects the legacy of a historic campus landmark.
