During the late 90’s the Pacific Northwest experienced rapid growth in the use of technology in the workplace. Phones went from analog to digital, computer networks went from 10mbps to 100mbps, and modems went from 28.8kbps dial-up to dedicated high-speed access. Cochran Technologies matched this growth, assisting our customers in providing and installing the cabling infrastructure to run both emerging and future technologies.
As that growth has leveled off Cochran has increased the scope of services offered to our customers. In addition to providing new cabling and services Cochran has developed an extensive Service Department that focuses on helping customers get the most out of existing cabling. We assist in performing existing space audits, help with adds, moves and changes, and recommend ways to perform these changes with the least cost and greatest flexibility for future.
In addition to helping customer’s make greater use of the current technologies, Cochran has also worked at combining technologies for our customers in order to cut installation costs and increase flexibility and ROI. Cochran helps to create flexible cabling infrastructures capable of easily switching between voice and data over the same cable. We also help develop modular installations for areas with heavy modular furniture requirements that allow for easy and inexpensive rearranging of furniture. Cochran can also discuss and advise on the advantages and disadvantages of VoIP (Voice over IP), Wireless LANs, fiber connectivity to the desktop, and other emerging and future technologies.
Cochran accomplishes all this with our staff of multiple RCDDs (Registered Communications Distribution Designers), a group that has established an excellent reputation in the industry on such projects as the Seahawks Stadium, Microsoft Campuses, IDX Tower, Vulcan 505 Building, Quadrant Campus, King County Courthouse, and many more. This staff is continually trained and certified by the manufacturers of the solutions we support, as well as through courses offered by BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International).
All this places Cochran as a leading provider of structured cabling solutions
for voice and data infrastructures. If you would like to learn more about
BICSI, or the RCDD certification, please log on to www.bicsi.org

Technologies, we look forward to working with you.
