As a leader in commercial real estate, it is no surprise that JLL’s new Portland office was designed to fit the culture and the needs of the JLL team. The 9,000 square foot tenant improvement space required the Oregon divisions (electrical, low-voltage and audio visual) to come together and create a unique space. The electrical team designed custom lights with exterior wiring that matched the brand’s colors while assuring that everything followed the inspector’s requirements. Alongside the electrical team, the Cochran low-voltage and audio visual teams helped create a space with the latest technologies, including speakers for noise reduction in an open space and glass conference rooms that are soundproof. The teams worked after hours to reduce disruptions throughout the building. The team was challenged when designing the large common area with a kitchen that also doubled as a conference room with sliding glass to help create privacy when needed.
