Cochran was contracted by long-time partner Rushforth Construction to fulfill the electrical, communications, security and A/V needs of this 85,000 square foot multi-purpose facility, which is targeting LEED Silver certification. During this year-long design build project Cochran implemented a variety of tactics to address the low-voltage wiring. In most cases, overhead cables were installed up and behind i-beams and rafters. Installations by Cochran’s technology team included providing all cabling and jacking for 108 exercise machines with dedicated television screens, as well as four flat-screen televisions. Cochran also had to be creative while developing an elevation drawing of the IT closet in order to determine the placement of each piece of communications, security and A/V systems racks within the 6x8 room.
